Active Release Technique

Dr. Eric DeRoche performs Active Release Technique on a patient.Active Release Technique (also known as ART) is considered the gold standard for soft tissue treatment. It is a combination of movement and massage used to break down scar tissue, generate increases in functional muscle length and release fascial adhesions. ART treatments are effective for a wide variety of conditions affecting the muscles, ligaments, nerves and fascia. Headaches, back pain, shoulder pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, carpel tunnel syndrome and various knee issues are just a few of the conditions for which ART is effective.

During an ART treatment, a patient can expect to be guided through a specific movement pattern while the doctor uses manual pressure to generate tension in a specific tissue structure. All of the doctors at Velo Sports Rehab hold advanced certifications in Active Release Techniques and draw on years of experience with hundreds of different treatment protocols. This experience helps the doctors tailor treatment to each individual for exceptional and lasting results.
