Meet Carter, a Seattle native. He is a preschool teacher with a passion for rollerblading and filming friends rollerblading. He works in the same building as Velo so it was a very easy and convenient choice to go to Velo.
Q: What is your favorite thing about Velo Sports Rehab?
“I love the quality of care I received from all the employees I’ve come to know at Velo. Everyone is enthusiastic and compassionate about trying to help you get back to a stronger, less painful self than you are at the moment. The dedication and friendliness of the whole staff really made Velo a place I immediately enjoyed going to and looked forward to visiting.”
Q: What activities do your treatments at Velo Sports Rehab help you to enjoy?
“Velo has helped me get back to rollerblading primarily. I had minimal function of my leg when I first started seeing Adam at Velo. When I came into Velo I had broken two bones in my leg; I arrived unable to walk on that leg and through my time at Velo I am now back to running, rollerblading, jumping and all kinds of very physical activities I wasn’t sure I’d ever do again. Velo helped me re-activate my leg and whole body. I am grateful everyday that I had such good practitioners who helped me get back to basic and advanced body functions. I am now able to run and play with kids at my day job and enjoy other physical activity outside of work.”
Q: What else would you like to share with us about your experience with Velo Sports Rehab?
“I was very apprehensive about starting treatment. I was somewhat resigned to the idea that after my accident I would become someone who used to be active, but could no longer continue to do so. I knew I would need someone I could see often to help challenge my body and rebuild the bones/muscles, but I had trouble finding someone who wanted to help with the knowledge that I wanted to get back to an activity that might harm me the same way again. Adam Swick is my favorite healthcare professional I’ve interacted with. Adam has an understanding of medicine but also of what his patients need for him that I find very valuable. Adam always knew what physical treatments would help get me to my next level of progress in recovery and was always aware of aiming towards getting me back onto my rollerblades. I owe a lot to Velo, if you are looking for quality care please try them! I hope I stay healthy and unharmed but if something were to happen it would be an easy decision to return to Velo.”
