INSTRUMENT ASSISTED SOFT TISSUE TREATMENT
Our doctors hold certifications in multiple instrument-assisted soft tissue treatment techniques and regularly incorporate the use of stainless steel and composite tools in the treatment of ligaments, tendons, and muscles. These tools act as a substitute for the doctor’s hands, allowing them to feel and affect the tissue in a different manner than with their hands alone.
During an instrument-assisted soft tissue treatment, patients can expect the doctor to use a lotion on the skin to reduce friction. The doctor will scrape the tool over the targeted tissue to help break up scar tissue, release fibrous adhesions, effect muscular relaxation, and relieve pain.
